On My List of Things To Do…

I have a lot to do in April. I hate to use the word ‘busy’, it drives me mad and it’s used mostly as a poor excuse for not getting things done.  After all we all have 24 hours in the day and my life is no less or no more busy than anyone else. It all comes down to choices, priorities and let’s face it, just getting on with it. So as I’m off in Bobbus (our gorgeous camper van) for 6 weeks, yes six, in May, I have to put the pedal to the floor. Not that I won’t be doing stuff while I’m away. My work is transportable, so where ever I go so does it. But, there is stuff to do here in preparation, and for my peace of mind.

Take a deep breath and here goes…

✓ Painting – lounge, bathroom and kitchen (it’s a good job we have a tiny casa

✓ Spring cleaning said tiny house – we have a wood burner in the winter and used it a lot this year. So everything is covered in a light film of dust

✓Plant out the veggie garden, peas and green beans done and tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, cucumbers, courgettes, beetroot, chillies and butternut squash on the list

✓Complete online Italian and UK tax returns 🤢 bleh say no more

✓Finalise latest WiP, The Promise, for publication end of May

✓Complete and publish paperback versions of two e-books, The Morning Gift and All Will Be Well

✓Outline rewrite of next WiP, The White Feather – my first time slip novel. Exciting

✓Brainstorm ideas for fantasy short stories to kick start my new persona in this genre, under the name of LJCharles

I’m sure there’s more, but I’ve run out of steam and need to go and lie down in a dark room. Of course, there is every chance that I won’t get some of this stuff done but at least I have a list. 😉

“People who want to appear clever rely on memory. People who want to get things done make lists.”
Peter Mcwilliams
