I can’t believe it’s the end of February! It whooshed by in a blur. This month is always a difficult month, not in a bad way but because
Simon’s birthday is on 31st January (keep it quiet but he’s now reached pensioner status) and my birthday is 20th February (and I’m the younger woman 😉). My darling husband insists on a birthday Eve and a Boxing birthday so our celebrations take six days out of an already short month! And with snow on the forecast, I’ve been somewhat distracted and in stock up mode. However, I have managed some achievements.
- Published blogs twice a week at a total word count of 3,200
- Finished the second draft of The Promise (it’s been tough going) and now with Simon for the first beta read (22,783 words revised, rewritten or new).
- Researched time slip novels – I’m thinking of using this method to rewrite The White Feather set in the First World War. It’s been spinning in my head for some time.
- Mapped out ideas for a series of short stories based on the Moons of the year for my fantasy genre – very excited about this!
What I haven’t done… lots! Was meaning to get a short story drafted, redraft a Penny and George story and complete the daily 6 word story challenges, but never mind. Can’t win them all. Bring on March!
